Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams typically consisting of eleven players each, where the objective is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net. Football is known as soccer in some countries, particularly in the United States and Canada. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. Players primarily use their feet to control and advance the ball, although they can use any part of their body except their arms and hands (with the exception of goalkeepers, who can use their hands within their penalty area).

The game is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Football is one of the most popular sports globally, with a massive following and numerous professional leagues and competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, which is the sport’s premier international tournament. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and athleticism, making it a beloved activity for players and fans alike.
